1986

Vic Glassock & Associates CC is formed in February 1986 by Vic Glassock. Operating out of his home, Vic sets up shop as an employee benefits and pension fund brokerage with Rand-Air as his first client.

A little later that year, Vic moves the company to Wellington Road, Parktown.

Annual fee income totals R32 000, with 15 funds under management at the end of the year.

1989

The company moves to 2 Clamart Road, Richmond.

1990

Jackie Glassock joins the business as financial director.

1994

Vic Glassock & Associates is awarded a pension fund administration licence by the FSB, allowing the company to run its own administration platform.

Trevor Glassock joins the company as new business, marketing and consulting director.

1996

Sam Estill joins the business as legal and administration director.

2000

Vic Glassock & Associates signs DHL up as its first healthcare client.

2003

Glassock & Associates welcomes Maryanne Lansdown on board as administration director of umbrella and preservation funds.

2008

Vic Glassock starts withdrawing from the day-to-day operation of the company and taking on a more strategic role. The name of the business changes to Glassock & Associates.

2009

Glassock & Associates moves to new premises at 20 Kent Road, corner Jan Smuts Avenue, Dunkeld West.

2011

Glassock & Associates celebrates its 25th anniversary as a multimillion-rand organisation employing a large team of passionate, skilled individuals and managing an impressive portfolio of funds.

Glassock’s core business – retirement fund administration and consulting – remains at the forefront of its service offering, with healthcare, group risk schemes and personal financial consulting growing in prominence.
